COVID-19 Office Policy Update

Dear Patients,

Due to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Pandemic, we at Jemison Internal Medicine are continually monitoring the situation and will remain open during our normal business hours to ensure that you receive the best medical care during this critical time in our nation.

We have made the following changes in our practice for your safety:

In order to limit your contact with other patients in the office lobby, we are kindly requesting that no patients will be allowed to wait in the lobby. Please call us at (205) 688-4050 on arrival, to speak to the office secretary. We ask that you provide your cell phone number, as well as your vehicle make, model, and color. Until you are called and ready to be seen, please wait in your car.

PLEASE ask for a mask at the front window in the lobby before coming back if you have the following symptoms:

  • fever

  • chills

  • cough

  • runny nose

  • body aches

  • loss of taste and smell

  • nausea

  • vomiting

  • diarrhea

The mask MUST be worn throughout your visit.

Please understand that there may be some delays during your wait time due to the office cleaning protocol between patients.

For the safety of all patients, as well as the office staff, NO additional family members or visitors will be allowed back with the patient unless absolutely necessary.
